Rx-Dr vs. OpenLoop, Wheel & Beluga Health: whose doctors, whose patients?
"White-label telehealth" covers two very different products. Infrastructure players like OpenLoop, Wheel, and Beluga Health supply a clinician network behind your brand. Rx-Dr supplies the operations behind your own clinicians. Which one you need depends entirely on whether you already have the medicine.
What the infrastructure players do
OpenLoop, Wheel, and Beluga were built for D2C health brands: a company with a brand and marketing engine but no doctors. They provide credentialed clinician networks across all 50 states, the medical group legal structure, and per-visit or per-provider pricing. It's genuinely good infrastructure — for that customer. Wheel in particular targets enterprise (payers, retailers, large brands); OpenLoop and Beluga power many of the telehealth brands you've seen advertised.
What that means for a physical practice
If you're a clinic, med spa, or physician group, you already have what these platforms sell: licensed providers with real patient relationships. Renting a second clinician network creates three problems:
- The clinical relationship splits. Your patient's weight-loss scripts are approved by a network doctor they've never met — not the provider they trust. That's the exact dynamic sending your patients to Hims and Ro today.
- Per-visit pricing scales against you. Infrastructure platforms typically price per consult or per provider (TelehealthTech's OpenLoop review notes per-provider and per-visit pricing). More patients, more cost, forever.
- You become the middleman between your own patient and someone else's medical group.
Where Rx-Dr sits
Rx-Dr assumes your provider is the prescriber. The platform runs everything around that decision: branded intake, payment collection, pharmacy routing to a licensed U.S. network, home delivery, refill management — with a flat monthly fee (from $499/mo), zero drug markup, and a LegitScript-certified audit trail on every script.

The right choice, honestly
- Choose OpenLoop, Wheel, or Beluga if you're launching a consumer telehealth brand with no clinical staff, or you need 50-state coverage your team can't provide.
- Choose Rx-Dr if you're a practice whose own provider should be the one saying yes — and what you're missing is the intake-to-doorstep machinery, not the doctor.
